Mostly I love the fast networking we have now. But it's so fast that sometimes I work on a remote machine (many hops remote in this case) and don't even notice that I'm not local. That can lead to mistakes. I remember how a friend used to say "NEVER RUN /sbin/shutdown -r, ALWAYS USE CTRL-ALT-DEL TO REBOOT"...
