Well, as far as I can interpret how it should be, it should be a completely blank line before the next From line. The reason I stumbled over this was because I needed to export a folder to Maildir. Since AOX only exports to mbox, I first exported to mbox, then tried to convert to maildir. However, the tools I use failed, and it's not easy to fix this manually either, since it seems aoxexport doesn't quote in-line From-lines in the mail bodies either (for instance if there's a random line starting with From in the message body).
