It depends (partly) a bit on the average size of each email. But I've been running a system with 9 million messages total (not in a single folder), and it works (sort of). So 2 million messages should be ok. But everything in one folder; not quite sure if IMAP (the protocol) is going to be any good at that. > Is it possible to have such a quantity of mails in a >shared folder?
