Took a few minutes today to follow last year's aws elastic map reduce data torrent guide, spun out a cluster1.using aws emr web ui2. Selected emr-4.2.0 (hadoop 2.6.0)3. Downloaded community binary distribution v3.7.04. Ran install, finished install via web ui as prompted.5. Tested with example applications.
