Hi:

Is appfuse unique in some way? I need to write a internal report
regarding "Meta Framework" . After searching around I came across the
following -

Jboss Seam
romaframework.org
keelframework.org
trails, grails what not??

Do you know any more similar products/projects?

Others similar to AppFuse include Ruby on Rails, RIFE and JAG (jag.sf.net).

We have had, lets just call it "bad luck" in terms of selecting a
framework before and we would like to port those application to the
new framework. our requirement is the framework must be open source
but not GPL, must have maven2 support, easy to use i.e. no plumbing in
terms of CRUD, we would like to use NetBeans.

AppFuse sounds like it might be a good fit for you. As far as "no
plumbing in terms of CRUD", what do you mean? We have Generic and
Universal DAOs/Managers that allow you to CRUD any POJO using Java 5
Generics or by Casting (which requires no registering of Spring
beans).

Please share your thoughts about meta frameworks? also is there any
page, site where you could see all the current appfuse installation
i.e. some sort of directory "sites using appfuse" or "application
built using appfuse"?

Hope this helps,
