Hello everyone,

Here is the deal: We are right now trying to develop a modular webapp. As
far as my understanding of servlets goes here
is what we thought would work :

Uploading a compressed folder with the classes, jsp, images, css, etc-- and
then uncompress them inside the existing
app. That's what would be happening in the server, however I want the
user to get a wizard-like interface (Like
InstallShield) as the process is done.

I've noticed that everytime that I try to add new content to my webapp
(classes and jsp), tomcat must be restarted in order
to reload the webapp. My question is how can I handle this neccesary
"tomcat reboot" with out leaving the user at a
"Page not Found Error" while the server restart.

I would suggest asking this on the Tomcat mailing list. Here's a
guess though: cluster your server so when one is down, the other one
is up and the users get routed to the one that's up.

Matt
