I upgraded 8 projects from m4 to m5 yesterday and it took me a couple hours to do. I created a new project with matching groupId and artifactId and then diffed them with beyond compare.
Not much has changed in pom.xml, but if you want to use AMP, you'll need to update the groupId of the plugin to org.codehaus.mojo. Other than that, the largest change is changing the default username/passwords to admin/admin and user/user. Did you try the Upgrade Guide in the Release Notes? http://appfuse.org/display/APF/Release+Notes+2.0+M5 Matt On 5/23/07, Nathan Anderson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Hey Matt, What do you expect to be the best method for this milestone? Obviously the first step is to back-up or commit the project to source control. But then what? I'm guessing that it is still better to make a second project and compare the diffs rather than update the dependencies in the pom.xml. What do you think? Also, I have a handful of files that I have copied from ./target and added to my project. For these you think I should just do a appfuse:full-source before doing the diff? Just wanted your feeling on the best approach before trying it out...
