Because I have to heavily modify service layer that comes with AppFuse. So it's likely that I have to copy dependencies from pom.xml in service layer and DAO as well?

Is there any reason you are excluding the service layer in your application? If you do it is likely that you will need to include the transitive dependencies you were inheriting via the service layer. Mike.
