When you say change the name, do you mean the user or the name of the actual role? If the former, simply change the name of the admin user in the database. If you want to change the name of the role, you are going to need to change it in quite a few places in the code. The easiest would be to get a full source release (which you already have if you are using 1.9.4) and do a find and replace on the word admin.
