No, the source is open to everyone. All you'd need to do is checkout
AppFuse from Subversion, add the integration and provide a patch in
JIRA. Of course, we'd need documentation as well. If you'd like to
support the package, that'd be great too.

Developers are generally nominated based on their contribution to the
project. That contribution can be answering questions on the mailing
list, contributing code, fixing bugs - basically anything that shows
you'd be a good asset to the development team.

Something like JasperReports support seems like something that'd be
great as a plugin. Unfortunately, we haven't discussed a plugin
architecture much at this point - but unfortunately it'll probably be
different for each web framework - unless we're smart and come up with
something that'll work for all.

Which web framework are you using? There may already be intergration.
