I have a problem with Hibernate. Actually it is a hibernate issue

I wanted to know if it is possible to change the version of Hibernate to
3.2.2 which does not have the issue. Will it adversely affect appfuse?
And how do I go about doing that. Can I just add a dependecy to my pom?
