Hi All, This one has just cost me a few hours so I thought I'd share in case I can help someone else.
As the title suggests, I'm running Appfuse 2 + Hibernate + Struts on Tomcat 5.5. Suddenly, after rebuilding my application, any attempt to access any page resulted in a 500 error - the server has encountered an internal error (or words to that effect). I hunted through the logs - nothing to be found. Eventually I did the smart thing and started commenting things out of login.jsp until I got something back. To cut a long story short, it transpired that I'd fat-fingered my applicationResources.properties (in fact, completely replaced it with one from an AppFuse 1.8 app) and this was the cause of my problem. Notwithstanding my fat-fingers problem, it may not even be AppFuse's fault anyway. I've been doing some fancy static loading of resources from the applicationResources.properties bundle and I rather suspect that is the cause of my problem as in my experience, if you stuff up in the static initialisation process, you rarely get any logging to tell you what you've stuffed up. Hope this mea culpa helps save someone else some time one day!
