Thank Rob for prompt response. Sorry I did typo as you mentioned.

1. I do want to use appfuse DateConverter. Not want to re-invert the wheels.
2. We tried DateUtil class in Java code, it works for yyyy-MM-dd format. 
The real problem appears, how to configure it as default converter for
<input text> in JSP to Date variable in date model?

That's why I tried to use WEB-INF/classes/xwork-conversion.properties. And I
can see ConverUtil.class under /com/cmn/util/ in our lib/cmnweb-service.jar
(Because we create cmn project using appgen)
I changed both
web/WEB-INF/classes/ApplicationResources_zh_CN.properties:date.format=yyyy-MM-dd
web/WEB-INF/classes/ApplicationResources.properties:date.format=yyyy-MM-dd

I'm looking forward to your more advice. Thanks again!
