I am still facing the same issue

"org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanDefinitionStoreException: Error
registering bean with name 'dataSource' defined in class path resource
[applicationContext-resources.xml]: Circular placeholder reference
'jdbc.driverClassName' in property definitions"

Is there something else which I should be doing ?

This happens when Eclipse copies applicationContext-resources.xml from
src/main/resources w/o filtering its properties. You might try running
"mvn resources:resources" from the command line and then refresh in your
IDE and try your test again.
