Chris, In using the phrase "compatible with an appfuse based app", are you looking for integration points between Appfuse and a content repository (JSR 170)? If you looking to build a front end application (Appfuse) with a open source CMS using web services, web scripts, etc your options are limitless, depending on the type of content you are managing you might want to looking into Magnolia, Day, or Alfresco. I personally have been developing with Day for 5 years, Magnolia and Alfresco for about a year, all three work well as content repositories. My team and I have just finished a similar project where we needed to write a front end application to an Alfresco repository using web services for content and security. Appfuse was a perfect choice for this implementation. Aside from Appfuse we incorporated ExtJS and JSON calling DWR exposed Appfuse services for the presentation layer, implemented a few new Acegi classes for authentication to Alfresco and a bunch of Alfresco web scripts for content. dana
