If you want to upgrade to 2.1.2, you'll have to do it yourself. We have not upgraded yet. If you cannot connect to MySQL with the default settings, it's likely because of your MySQL installation and configuration. Can you login from the command line with "mysql -u root -p" and hit enter when prompted for a password?
