I'm using a project initially based on AppFuse 2.0.2 but I've upgraded things myself to use Spring 2.5.6 and Hibernate 3.3.1, prompted by the desire to get past some Spring and Hibernate bugs marked fixed in these releases. That is all working fine for me, but I am still having some problems using annotations (e.g. @PrePersist, @IndexColumn population) that require EntityManager intervention during the dao save() operations.
I find myself now a bit confused about the Spring/Hibernate setup in AppFuse and whether or not Hibernate EntityManager is getting invoked or not.
Can someone who as used such annotations successfully with AppFuse point me to the right persistence.xml and any Spring beans config that I need to use to get these to work?
