    Hi,

    I'm pretty new to Appfuse,

I tried out Appfuse light, and played around a bit with the
     Struts2 MVC and
    Ajax flavour.

When reading through http://appfuse.org/display/APF/Ajax I saw that in
Appfuse itself "JSF and Spring MVC do not ship with any built-in Ajax
libraries." is there a technical reason for this?

This means that JSF and Spring MVC themselves do not include any built-in Ajax libraries. Appfuse JSF (I think) and Appfuse Spring MVC ship with DWR, Prototype and Scriptaculous so you can pretty much start Ajax enabling your application immediately.

Mike

Is there a way to configure Appfuse Spring MVC Basic to use Ajax?

    Thanks,
    Debbie
