A search of the archives turned up little, but I was wondering if
anyone has tried to enable theme selection as a user preference?
ATM the theme is read from a web.xml deployment parameter, but it
seems like this should be able to be read from a user property/
preference/cookie or something?
If I am right, the theme is set in the web.xml so it should be easy to
allow this to be provided as a user var rather than an application
deployment var ?
from web.xml:
<context-param>
<param-name>csstheme</param-name>
<param-value>${ringo.core.client.prez.theme}</param-value>
</context-param>
and from default.sjp:
<title><decorator:title/><fmt:message key="webapp.name.$
{appConfig['csstheme']}"/></title>
<!-- decorator title is read from the title tag of target
page -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all"
href="<c:url value='/styles/${appConfig["csstheme"]}/theme.css'/>" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="print"
href="<c:url value='/styles/${appConfig["csstheme"]}/print.css'/>" />
Could the JSP be changed to use a different expression so the value is
obtained dynamically from some other place?
Pointers to helpful info/past experience/ideas greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Matthew
