Hello guys,

We are busy integrating JBPM 3.2.3 JPDL with Appfuse. Using parts of
spring-modules 0.9

I do not completely agree with the strategy spring modules are using so
here is a run down of what we are trying to achieve:

1. JBPM JPDL integration with Appfuse Struts Modular (the core code
should be reusable, someone else can contribute JSF stuff it they want
it). The idea is to create a mvn projects which one can add to the POMs
(if Jbpm integration is required) which will have everything setup already.

2. Spring-modules-jbpm wants you to create a JbpmTemplate for each
process. I do not agree with this, one should be able to deploy new
processes without having to create new DAOs or managers. It seems to me
like spring-modules-jbpm therefore supports the idea that each process
should have it's own DAO and Manager. I would rather like to create a
generic framework which allows one to manipulate several processes using
the same DAOs.

3. Integration of Jbpm identity service with appfuse users and roles.

4. Generic UI which can be used to monitor process instances etc.

5. Create the database for JBPM as a separate one, which will assist in
upgrading of applications since the schema's aren't all mixed up.

6. Open Context in View filter.

7. Transaction management integrated with Spring. This is where I am
getting stuck.

We have done quite a lot of work so far, I am packaging it so that some
of you guys can have a look to see if it is OK. Please let me know if
anyone is interested in collaborating on this.

Juan
