What do you mean by "it didn't work". Do you mean it's still in your
final WAR? If so, you probably need to exclude it from your pom.xml.
At this time, the only way I can think to do that is (1) remove the
reference to appfuse-web as the parent (2) copy all the plugins from
the root appfuse and appfuse-web into your project and (3) copy all
the dependencies that you need from both the root appfuse.pom and
appfuse-web.pom.
I hope to fix this by the end of the month by removing the reference
to appfuse-web as a parent.
