OK I was also having the same problem with "mvn install eclipse:eclipse" that Ferenc was having, so I set the version from 2.7 --> 2.5.1 as Matt suggested and the command succeeded this time, thanks Matt.
I'm going to try to follow the tutorials "to the letter" and see if this changes anything, as that exception I am getting from running the DAO test (for tutorial model class & DAO Person) looks a little too perverse. I am going to leave the package the same as it is in the tutorials too, on occasion I've seen some flak related to that and will report what happens...
