I suppose it could be related to the http/https difference (I hadn't
noticed that).  I never set up any certificates when I installed Archiva
1.0.2 so I doubt I lost any in the upgrade (unless certificates are
created automatically somehow).  I just defined the remote repository,
added the proxy connector and it seemed to work.  It's true that this
was the only remote repository I had defined with https, so perhaps this
explains why it didn't work and all the other remote repositories were
fine.  In my analysis I suspected that it might be because it was a
maven 1 repository, but your hypothesis sounds more feasible.
