Update : Looked at Java Preferences in Utilities section:It stipulates : Java 
Applications, Web Start applications and command line tools use 'this order'  
to determine the most appropriate version to use..The panel has the 64 bit 
version listed above the 32 bit one. So I'd assume 64 bit was being chosen.
