Code generation and reverse engineering are important goals for us. There's unreleased code in SVN which does reverse engineering of Java sources into UML models and Java code generation is near the top of the todo list. This is capability already present in ArgoUML, so it's "just" a matter of getting it integrated. After the basic integration is done, we'll need to see how seamless the roundtripping is. I'm pretty sure there'll be additional work required for bidirectional synchronization between Java and UML. The initial pass of code generation will be implemented directly using the existing code which generates Java itself rather than going through the intermediary step of generating an ECore file. Is there a need to be able to generate ECore files too?
