Hi Roland,

If the official manual were a wiki, then the main editor (me) would have to check all modifications after they are applied.
In our current way of working, I check all proposed changes (whenever I am ready) and apply them.

And Linus, our project lead, likes it when the editor role is explicit and in his impression, the wiki-based user manuals are uneven w.r.t. language, contents, and quality. He also likes the docbook format because of the pdf-result that gives the impression that we are going to eventually print it.

Hence we do not see much advantage in the use of a wiki for the manual. Maybe you want to convince us from the opposite?

But anyhow, I welcome any addition from users to the manual!

Please send your proposals to me directly, or preferrably, to the dev list.
The best would be if you can create a patch on the docbook xml that is the source of the manual, but I will accept any format.

Regards,
Michiel

Subject: [argouml-users] User Manual Suggestion

Would you set the user manula up as a wiki so it can be edited by your users?

Thanks.
