In the menu, select File->Properties and select the tab Notations, then mark
the "show visibility" item.
Not everyone wants to show the visibility all the time, so they are
optional.
And in the first phase of a project (analysis), they are not needed, so by
default we do not show visibility (and for some other reasons).
