I just doublechecked 0.24 and don't see the behavior that you are describing. There were no intentional changes of behavior in the area. It's possible that the problem is environment specific. If it's consistently repeatable, please file a bug report with as much information as possible about your environment, the context that you are working in, and the actions you are taking.
