Hi Bob,
Please move this discussion to the dev list - I will give some tips if you
do.
Yes, it makes sense.

Michiel

Before anyone spends too much time on this proposal, have a look at the
attachment.
Does it have merit ?

Hello Bob and Tom!
I don't think alternative 2 is a good idea. I would like to to keep all
argouml-related projects together so the alternative 1 or the patch is my
suggestion.
In any of the cases 1 and 2, I can set this up for you.

If it's really an entire project's worth of work, you can choose among:
1. Having it be a subproject of ArgoUML in which case you need to get
one of the ArgoUML project leaders to create it for you 2. Having it
hosted at Tigris independent of ArgoUML in which case you submit a
project request to the Tigris admins using their web interface 3.
Having it hosted someplace like SourceForge in which case you submit
the project request to the appropriate administrator
On the other hand, if it's something smaller and simpler, you can
create a patch with the functionality and attach it to a Enhancement
Request in the issue database and one of the core developers can
review and integrate it for you.
Unless it's a lot more complicated than it sounds on the surface, I
suspect the second scenario is closer to what you want to do. It also
offers the possibility of much smoother integration than doing things
as a separate plugin or something.
