I've been developping with FileMaker and 4D and I decided to go for standards. I was expecting I wouldn't have to deal with that level of things.
Additional complicating factors are the fact that you want to use a
brand new extension (dbuml) and you're using an operating system that
none of the other developers use (Mac).
I know ;-) and unfortunately Apple doesn't really help. You certainly read Javalobby News last issue titled "So Long Apple. The Party's Over".
There is something those guys consistently missed.

As far as I am concerned it's too soon to bother about this issue and I'll come back to it later.
