Hi Tobias,

This is indeed a confusing property of the UML activity diagram.

If you edit an activity state on the diagram (i.e. double-click on the figure in the drawing, and then enter your text there), then you will understand: The diagram is not supposed to show the names of these elements, but the script of the (entry)action that is performed.

Similarily, the ObjectFlowState is not supposed to show its name, but something like:

   a:A
   [abc]

with "a" the name of the type (a Classifier or ClassifierInState), "A" the name of the Class(ifier), and "abc" the name of the state that "a" is in.

Regards,
Michiel

Subject: [argouml-users] Names in activity diagramm

Hello all,
I start playing around with argouml (0.24/ german version) and have a problem with the
activity diagrams. When I name an active state the name
appears in the explorer but not in the edit pane (i.e. not in the resp.
graphical element). The same holds for the object flow state.

Thanks in advance

Tobias
