Hi all,

Some time ago, I began thinking about how an IRC channel could help to
devs and users of ArgoUML, but I did nothing, just blame about the
lack of it.

Two days ago, when I was at the #gsoc channel at Freenode, I saw this
on the channel:
"You are going to have a better chance (and more visibility) with
mentors over in your desired org(s)'s channels or mailing lists. Have
a look around their website for info, use google search, or even just
type /join #<org> as many projects have their channels on freenode."

So I joined #argouml because maybe I could help another student. In
the past two days, three students joined the channel, and I gave them
some feedback about ArgoUML and how to fill their Summer of Code
project proposals.
Today, an ArgoUML user joined the channel asking for how he could
merge different zargo projects into a zargo file. I told him that it
can't be done yet, but I guided him about how to do it by hand, and he
succeeded.

Without any advertisement about the channel this people joined it, and
gave/received feedback from the ArgoUML community.
I think that IRC have a lot to say in OpenSource development and
support, and this facts show what I think.

So I just registered the #argouml channel at Freenode, and you (users
and developers) are welcome for joining us.

See you there!
