I've tried different avalon and avalon-excalibur versions without success.
What version of the code is your message referring to? (So i can match line #'s to source..)
With the simple connection method "Class.forName( .......)" i always get an successfull connection to my DB.
If you do that, you do not get the errors in your original message? Thats very confusing, since the JdbcDataSource does a Class.forName internally..
