has anybody try to use Phoenix/Fortress/Merlin as a Jini Services

Is there anybody who need to use Avalon as a framework for Jini services?
I done some limited stuff - in the Merlin CVS there are classes that handle the publication of a Kernel into JNDI. I also have a bunch of stuff on my hard disk - basically a JNDI provider that handles JNDI URLs to loookup partitioned services. But its still too early to commit.
Does Jini use JNDI?
I think my brain must have been on pause. You wrote Jini - I read JNDI. Sorry about that!
