There is already on release of PheonixJMS which wraps OpenJMS into a Phoenix/Merlin compatible block.
I'll be doing another release this weekend that will include some general enhancements (support for pico container) and a new set of components based on Merlin 3.0 that will allow other Avalon components to be automatically subscribed to a JMS destination (like Message Driven Beans).
