Just a suggestion.

Its already done - patch submitted by Niclas Hedhman a couple of hours 
ago has been committed and validated on unix and windows.  Next release 
will be Linux friendly. :-)

You need to drop the avalon-meta-plugin-1.1.jar and 
merlin-plugin-1.0.jar into the %MAVEN_HOME%\plugins directory.
