I think you are looking for the old RMIfication block which I don't think exists any more (or at least it wasn't moved into avalon-components). I never used it, but if I recall correctly, it actually used AltRMI. There is a similar component extension for merlin in the CVS sandbox (see avalon-sandbox/exporter). J.
