Avalon is a component framework ("period"). It can be used on either the
client or server side. However, at this time there are no containers
light-weight enough to be suitable for the client side, which would make
your job writing a client-side Avalon app more difficult. However, it has
been done.
The Avalon Framework is little more than a set of interfaces that define a
contract between a container/component.
