We are currently considering the possibility of dropping in Merlin. It seems like a suitable fit, however I am trying to get a good understanding of all the features of Merlin. I am hung up on one particular thing.... What is the difference between Contextualization Stage Handlers and Lifecycle Extentions? The only difference I can see is the interface that is used by the handler. I guess I am not understanding the usage patterns. Right now, our "homebrew container" creates a dynamic configuration based on the configuration file and the contents of a db. I am thinking that a speciallized context could easily perform this function, but I would have to refactor the code to not use configuration.
