You need to understand what "unreachable" means... Right now I am a bit tired to go through your argument below, so I defer to do it until later... I'll try to find the proper "hard", "soft" and "weak" reference types and their place in the "reachable, finalizer-reachable, unreachable" and "unfinalized, finalizable, finalized" states.
