Generally for a Fortress application you will need the following:

 avalon-framework.jar
 commons-collections-2.1.jar
 excalibur-fortress-complete-1.0.jar
 excalibur-lifecycle-1.0.jar
 logkit.jar
 util.concurrent-1.3.1.jar
 xerces-2.3.0.jar

(you won't need xerces if you're running jdk 1.4)

You may also need any extra excalibur components you happen to be
using. The fortress-complete jar includes the following components:

  excalibur-instrument
  excalibur-event
  excalibur-logging
  excalibur-sourceresolve
  excalibur-lifecycle (?)

Hopefully I didn't miss anything.
