Sorry, that I didn't expressed recognition of his appreciation, which INDEED is appreciated. ;o) Let's elaborate some more; The PMC of Avalon has on its agenda to lower the bar of "get going" for newcomers. The selfish underlying reason for that is to increase the adoption rate, hence giving Avalon a bigger presence and the developers some boost of encouragement. Such strategy is not as simple as it first sounds. 1. Documentation needs improvements, both official and Wiki. 2. More and better examples. 3. A complete A-Z tutorial. 4. Better tools to create components, such as IDE plugins. 5. More standardized components. 6. Time to make it come together. And at the same time, there is an endless evolution of new things, especially in Merlin. That means, that the developers and anyone else who have some knowledge, must chip in and help out newcomers to the greatest extent possible. Not only can that lead to adoption of Avalon, but also exposes to the active committers what the newcomers have problem with, and try to make babystep improvements in these areas. Also, next guy with similar problems, might get help from the "once newcomer" who by then knows that and more, and decides to give a helping hand with some documentation at Wiki.
