Peter:

I think the quickest way to deal with this is if we put in place a logging system factory declaration in the kernel within which we declare the classname of the factory. This would enable you to map in an alternative implementation.

Hi,
I tried to compile the Phoenix-xource but it seems it is quite old, so the
PUnitTestCase still uses junit.framework.TestCase (avalon-phoenix from
:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/cvspublic).
I wnated to see if there is a chance to get the Phoenix Logger into Merlin,
maybe just as a component so our other components can use it via
dependencies to start with. We wnat to use Merlin within a banking
application so we need quite extensive logging facilities ...
Maybe it is a dumb question - is the Logger just a deployable component?

Has anyone done this already?

Thanks for hints!
