Thanks Berin for your great work. Seeing how smoothly this transition went, at least to on outsider's view, I think there's a lesson in it for all of us :-)
we are happy to report that Avalon PMC Chair 3.0 is fully backwards compatible with all previous versions of Avalon PMC Chair. The 3.0 release was unanimously approved by the entire PMC and will be available on a mailing list near you shortly.
Do take note that the 3.0 release has not seen extensive load testing, nor is any such testing scheduled...but we trust that our otherwise thorough release process has taken care of the major issues.
For those of you who have problems updating to 3.0 immediately, the 2.x series will remain available for the foreseeable future, though not through the "official" channels. If you have an active interest in the 2.x series, please check http://www.jroller.com/page/bloritsch/ regularly for updates.
