Well Aaron, I get the exact same exception. I reverified the classpath using a simple JSP page and all is well there.
I do get this message in the configuration log: addRole role: name='jdbc-datasource', role='org.apache.avalon.excalibur.datasource.DataSourceComponent', class='org.apache.avalon.excalibur.datasource.JdbcDataSource', handler='org.apache.avalon.fortress.impl.handler.ThreadSafeComponentHandler' which I read as the data source component is loaded and ready, so I don't know why I would get an 'unable to provide implementation' exception.
