I currently playing with LogKit through commons-logging. Which is quite straight foward ...but I got stuck when it comes to the configuration of LogKit :-/
No suprises here.
I haven't had a closer look into LogKit before, but...
Do I get it right that LogKit by itself does not have any configuration facilities (properties etc.) but one has to "program it by yourself"?
Correct.
So all I know as LogKit configuration file (from e.g. cocoon) comes from excalibur - which sits on top of the lightweight logkit?
There are two variations on loglit configuration - one in excalibur and one in avalon/logging. See the following email for details:

Did I picture this right?
Yep.
Steve.
