Nope - basically we finalized and released 3.3.0, closed CVS, opened SVN, tagged everything, then started ripping things apart to put in place a new build system under avalon/trunk.

would be the best of both worlds... - attaching to the new working base AND - allowing to browse 3.3.0
You will probably find avalon/trunk easier to understand. We have done a lot of reorganization of things - structure is much more consitent.
The only downside is that there is still some work pending on the generation of the actual merlin binary distribution - but that should be done shortly. In the meantime you can still to a complete build of the system.
