Hi folks, I'm trying to get Merlin 3.3.0 to initialize log4j and I'm stuck. Log4J is supported by the Logging Subsystem according to the documentation supplied with the distribution. I've put the log4j.jar into my container classpath and set the property avalon.logging.configuration in the merlin.properties file to the URL of the logging initialization file.
... but it doesn't work. When creating a logger I get the typical error message that no appenders could be found. I've read the information about the artifact URL of the log4j-AvalonLogging-binding but can't find an appropriate jar. The download page of Avalon Logging is still "IN PREP.". So what can I do? Has anybody successfully tackled this problem? I would be thankfull for any hints.
