Sorry about my delay in my reply.. ..was trying out a couple of other
options, so could get to this only today..

Re. the splash screen, will do.. ..only I'll take some time to come up
with a modest visual for the splash screen..

Re. embedding Merlin into my commandline code vs. using Merlin's CLI
to launch, currently I have working code for both - I just haven't
picked one yet.. ..will make the choice if I run into a serious issue
with the other (till now haven't come across anything)..

Re. proxying, how do I disable this? I tried resolve(false); but I
think I still got back a proxy only...?
