Hi guys, Mozilla 1.0.1 is close and we plan to release a Beonex Communicator 0.8.1-stable based on it. Mostly bugfixing.
Important for Beonex Linux builds is mostly that it is now built on another Linux installation. Shortly before the 0.8-stable release, I trashed my normal build installation and had to build on another one, resulting in somewhat screwed library requirements for the Linux build. A few of you had told me that the last release thus didn't run on certain systems, and I thank you for your hints. Hopefully, this build will run on all systems that meet the announced minimum requirements. Please test it, if that is the case, esp. those who told me that they had problems to run the last version. For anyone who tries out the builds, please email me, if it runs for you, if you had to do anything special (not in the install guide) and what your system is (CPU, distro, version, anything special). Pentium2/Athlon: <ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/packages/infosystems/WWW/clients/beonex/communicator/0.8/dev/beonex-comm-0.8.1-dev-1-linux-i686.tar.bz2> Pentium1/K6: <ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/packages/infosystems/WWW/clients/beonex/communicator/0.8/dev/beonex-comm-0.8.1-dev-1-linux-i586.tar.bz2> Note that this is not a release candidate. There might be more bugfixes from Mozillo being incorporated into the final 0.8.1 release. Ben
